Mitty Kitty Collection
I started the Mitty Kitty Collection in honor of my cat, Misty, who passed away January 3rd, 2021 after a long fight with chronic kidney failure.
I will be illustrating designs of Misty along with various things like books, cute phrases, etc. for products like stickers, bookmarks, mugs and more. I will be adding new designs to the collection a few times a year to continue keeping her memory alive.
A portion of the proceeds from each item sold will be donated to the Foundation for Feline Renal Research. They are a nonprofit foundation that carries out research to both understand and find treatments for feline kidney disease, which is an irreversible progressive disease in cats.
The name for the collection comes from Misty’s nickname, Mitty. She was my soulmate, the love of my life, and my best friend for 16 years. She was there for elementary school, middle school, high school, college, and after college.
She took a huge piece of my heart when she passed away, and this collection is my own way of coping with her loss and to keep her memory alive through my artwork.
